Let's get our Save Onnnn!

1) Pay Yourself. Everytime that you get a check, pay your bills, your rent/mortgage, buy your groveries....but don't forget to pay yourself. Put a certain percentage or certain amount aside from every check and see how much you end up saving.
2) Save your change. I know it might seem a little petty, but if you've never saved your change before and turned it into the coin machine at Randall's...you are missing out on some money that could potentially pay a bill.
3) Try to set one day aside out of the week to not spend money. That's right - not a dime. It will be easier if you plan your week out. Try to buy items like groceries and gas before your "No Spend Day". Tip: Don't make your day a Friday or a Saturday if your big on going out or networking.
4) Use coupons at the grocery store. Better yet, there are great apps out there that will give you digital coupons on your phone...no need to keep a whole mess of clippings on you.
5) Go out less. This is an obvious. If you are spending money going bowling, going to the movies, going out for drinks...chances are you're spending more than $20 and that's a minimum. Plus you are more seseptible to spending money on food as well.
6) Which brings me to my next savings tip. Try not to eat out as much. It's way more expensive than making your own savory meal at home or even a nice healthy frozen stovetop dinner for two.
7) Download a free app that shows you nearby corner stores with the lowest gas prices. Plus if you shop at stores like Kroger or Randall's, they offer gas rewards to save even more money. (Every dime counts)
8) Try to use cash to pay for non-necessity items. Pull out a set amount of cash from your bank and stick to that budget for spending money. Don't go over the budget and you'll be spending money in no time.
