Huge House....or Itty BItty Castle?
Chateau of French novelist Alexandre Dumas at Port-Marly, near Paris...breathtaking!
This beautiful masterpiece was designed by French Arcitech, Hippolyte Durand.
The custom royal-like home was built in 1848 for French Writer, Alexandre Dumas.
Although Mr.Dumas had intentions of using the mini castle as a creative writing studio, the space ended up being a LOT bigger than Mr.Dumas had imagined.
Unfortunately, Mr.Dumas found himself short on funds and had to sell. The property was quickly abandoned and lost it's warmth. Finally King Hassan II of Morocco purchased and restored the property and it's two gardens in 1994.
The property is now a public history museum dedicated to Mr.Alexandre Dumas!
