My Tips On Staying Motivated

As you (probably) know, I decided to get into real estate a few years ago. I didn’t instantly know everything and most definitely was not the perfect agent, just because I held my license. It took a grave deal of commitment and hard work to get where I’m at today. I’m very dedicated to my career and that’s because I LOVE what I do and how I serve people every single day. For anyone who has a dream, vision or desire to change their life - you have to stay motivated. Of course, that’s much easier said than done. Which is why I wanted to share with you how I stay motivated in all aspects of my life. Whether that’s for my career, working out or adding a daily positive habit to my goals.

•Figure out your “Why”. “Why am I doing this?” “Why do I want this change in my life?” “How is my life going to change if I reach my goal?”

•Use Pain Vs. Pleasure to your advantage. You know the pleasure you will get in achieving your end goal - you’ll feel good fitting into those old clothes, taking your business to the next level or overall happier knowing you are working towards a better tomorrow. Now think about the pain you will feel if you DON’T hit the gym, if you DON’T work harder than you did yesterday…you stay stagnant and you DON’T accomplish anything.

The pain of not achieving my goals weighs much heavier on my shoulders than the pleasure I would get, from reaching my goals. I know this because I have a clear vision of my goals and what my life looks like after I’ve achieved them. I am happy, I am stress free, I am strong, I am the best ME I could be.

•You have to love your end goal. You have to obsess about it and think about it daily. Change your wallpaper on your phone, laptop or computer to remind yourself of what you want in life. Much like a vision board, only we tend to stare at our electronics more often and not to mention - you can take it with you virtually anywhere. Here’s my screen saver on my phone.

•Last but certainly not least, just SHUT UP AND DO IT! There's literally a book that teaches you how to do just that. Don’t excuse yourself for why you didn’t do it. If you constantly give yourself an excuse, you will never see that positive change that you yearn for in your life. YOU have to make the change yourself. I’ll say it again…if something isn't working out for you in life, YOU have to make the change yourself.

Albert Einstein puts it to us best…The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting different results.

No one wants to feel insane…so put your head on straight and do what you know needs to be done for that better tomorrow! Remember, this is about your happiness!
